Owen's 'First' Snow

Technically NOT Owen's first snow, but it was the first snow that he was able to play in.
What a perfect use for those sand toys.
Owen's first taste of chocolate milk - lovingly dubbed 'cocoa ha.' He's been asking for 'cocoa ha' daily since his first sip.
He didn't waste any time dressing to go outside and play in the snow again. This time he thought he would try out Daddy's winter gear.

Owen Meets Henry!

Owen wasn't quite sure what to make of Henry at their first meeting.
But it didn't take long for the kisses to start. The snuggles from Big Brother haven't stopped since this first one.
Family snuggle.

Arrival Day!

The last photo taken of our family of three - right before heading off to the hospital to meet the newest member of the family.
Welcome baby Henry!
Proud Mom and Dad!

Taking a "Hike."

Hiking here is nothing like hiking back home, but it's still nice to get outside and enjoy the freshly fallen leaves.
Owen and Daddy - ready to go.
Striking the "It could be a cover for a CD" pose.
Delighting in the leaves stuck to the tree. Owen might add that it was most fun when Daddy jumped so Owen could grab hold of the leaves (the reason for such a big smile!).

Halloween Fun

"Mommy and I started our day going to a costume party with our friends (I thought I would bring along a couple of my favorite things - can you see them in my hands?)."
Charlie Brown (Greg), The Great Pumpkin (Owen), the Pumpkin Patch (Dani), and a growing pumpkin (baby in Dani's belly) had a fun time trick-or-treating.
Mommy, Owen and baby pumpkin!

Practice Makes Perfect!

It's hard work being such a cute pumpkin. It takes lots of practice. First one needs to look at himself in the mirror...
Next one needs to practice lounging like a pumpkin - maybe even snuggling with friends while eating a snack...
Then one needs to create some beautiful art like a pumpkin...
Finally one needs to set himself up next to other pumpkins to see if he blends in. Can you spot the human pumpkin?
In case you can't read the expression or feel his angst, Owen is completely annoyed that a day in the life of the pumpkin must end at some point. In this case it was bedtime. Sorry pumpkin.

Is it Halloween yet?!

"He, he, he! Is it Halloween yet?! Mommy says I can dress up. Should I be a tiger?"

"How about a rock star (If you can't tell, I'm singing my ABCs.)?"
"Or a bunny?"

Socks Please!

Owen was so proud of his new look! Going around pant-less is always a hit, but when Daddy got home Owen insisted that he wear Daddy's socks. So up they went...past his knees!
Of course the shoes had to come next. Owen eventually took the shoes off, but the socks had to stay... all the way through dinner. They would have made their way into the bathtub if it were up to him, but Mommy put her sock-less foot down.

"What'd I do?"

Owen's expression is saying: "Why are you laughing Mommy?" Hint: look closely at Owen's left hand, the bottom of his right pant leg and the top of his head.
Mommy: "You shook baby powder on your head?!!! Don't move. Let me grab the camera!!"

Hugs and Snuggles Around!

Grandma is good at giving big bear hugs!
Papa and Owen are usually too busy to sit still for a shot, but they did it!!
Uncle Mitch gave Owen a Husky uniform and made sure he packed his own so they could match.

Owen's Uniform

The pool was full, the water warm, and the sun just right.
Owen loved dumping this big glass of water on his tummy.
Grandma's garden is full of flowers, but Owen found the loneliest ones and visited them everyday.
Owen spent most of his days at Grandma's in this uniform.

Playing at Grandma's

Dancing with Papa. Their favorite tune: The Farmer and the Dell.

The passion was born - Owen hasn't stopped playing with cars since his trip to Washington.
He loved Moby the dog...
and Dick the cat.

A Day at the Aquarium

An inside view. These fish are named Owen and Daddy.
I think the big kids are having a lot of fun!!!
Owen just loved the eel. I'm sure everyone in the aquarium heard his squeals.
Like father like son.
Strolling with Uncle Chris.

Fun in the Sand

Building a Plop Castle with Grandpa.
Playing in the sand is serious business.
Another trip to get water with Grandma.
