Owen is such a good big brother. It's a job he embraced the moment he laid eyes on Henry. He reads to him... wipes his already clean mouth with a burp cloth... and pats his legs to make him giggle.
Playing outsied is a big deal - especially for big brother. Thankfully Grandma made it possible for Henry to 'play' outside during the cold months too. He was completely tuckered out by the time he was put into his snowsuit. Owen, however, was ready and waiting before I could say, 'boo.'
If only Owen knew exactly what he was celebrating. This was his response to the cheering he overheard during President Obama's inaguaration. What joy! Little did he know he was cheering as history was being made.
Really? Has it been four months since Henry was this small? Where does the time go? Henry lights up whenever he sees Daddy, Mommy and especially Owen. Not so much when he sees me...
Professionally I am an elementary teacher, but am taking a break to stay home with my boys. This break has been six years and counting. With my spare time I've opened a small business called huck & jo - basically providing an outlet for me that doesn't involve the kiddos. It's crafty, it's fun and it can be messy - my basement is constant proof. The unfortunate part about that is I am more productive and think a bit more clearly when things are clean and tidy. This blog is about life. Life with the boys. Life with hubby. Adventures we go on, choices we make and the mistakes and triumphs we learn from.
